Target: https://bridge.iotex.io/
Feature: Token Bridge – Recipient Address Field
Category: Validation / Web3 Compatibility
Severity: Medium
The bridge does not recognize valid ENS (Ethereum Name Service) addresses such as unijaychie.eth. When entered in the recipient address field, an error message — “Please enter a valid EVM address” — is displayed, blocking the transaction.
Visit https://bridge.iotex.io/.
Select any supported token (e.g., IOTX → Ethereum).
In the Recipient Address field, enter a valid ENS name such as unijaychie.eth
The system should resolve the ENS name to its linked Ethereum address automatically or accept it for bridging, as is standard in Web3 UX.
The application shows an error message:
“Please enter a valid EVM address”
ENS address is rejected and bridging cannot continue.
Users with ENS names cannot use the bridge without manually copying full wallet addresses.
Reduces user experience and interoperability with Ethereum naming standards.
Potentially affects cross-chain users using ENS-integrated wallets (e.g., MetaMask).
