I'm really sorry about this. I thought that Iotex was ERC-20 and would be no problem depositing into the Etherium account. What confused me is that on the Trust Wallet the Iotex appeared the same amount in both Iotex network and Etherium (duplicate accounts, it was the strangest thing and I've never seen this before). As I was sending from the Etherium one I thought it would be taking ETH gas and sending as an ERC-20 token
The other thing is that I'm told that when D'Cent eventually supports Iotex network I will be able to load the account and the tokens will appear then? I am in no hurry as I intend holding, as long as D'Cent will eventually support your network

This is a very common misunderstanding with IoTeX, and to clarify;
IoTeX actually has two versions of its token:
⦁ Native IOTX - Lives on the IoTeX mainnet (its own blockchain)
⦁ IOTX-E (ERC-20) - Lives on Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token
To fix this, you need to use IoTeX's official bridge:
Go to iotex.io/bridge
Connect your wallet
Bridge from IoTeX Mainnet → Ethereum
You'll need some IOTX for the bridge fee + ETH for Ethereum gas
Please let me know if this helps and if you have further query please don’t hesitate.

Hello, can you please provide your transaction hash (txhash) or you can check on:
Etherscan for Ethereum
IoTeXScan for IoTeX
if transaction is a “success, failed, or pending’’
Please let us know so that we can further assist you. thanks.
